The Greens of Africa Foundation(GAF) is a registered national women led non profit organization in Kenya dedicated to environmental conservation and climate action. Founded by Dr. Jedidah Wanyeki HSC, the Foundation operates as a critical link between local communities, state agencies, and corporate partners to build self-sustaining ecosystems and community climate resilience.
We believe that the health of our planet is deeply intertwined with the well-being of its people. As climate change accelerates, we are committed to equipping local communities with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive in a changing world. Our work bridges the gap between environmental restoration and community empowerment.
We focus heavily on climate change adaptation, actively restoring degraded landscapes and safeguarding critical water ecosystems. By introducing sustainable livelihood initiatives—such as agroforestry and ecofriendly farming practices—we ensure that communities do not just survive environmental challenges, but actively prosper. We foster an environmentally conscious society where communities take pride in protecting their natural heritage. Together, we are securing a water-safe, resilient, and green Africa for present and future generations.
